An exciting new ice hockey tournament for players of all skill levels, happening in the vibrant city of Melbourne, Australia.
This tournament promises a week of thrilling hockey action, camaraderie, and fun for all participants.
It’s like the CARHA World Cup down under!

Rookie 18+ (Players with 0-2 years hockey experience)
Rookie Pro 18+ (Players with 2-4 years total hockey experience)
Slapshots are allowed in pro divison, Slapshots are not allowed in any other division.
REGISTRATION
(No other memberships or association registration is required to compete in the Aussie classic)

VENUES
Tournament home rink is iceHQ, 1 Blake street Reservoir VIC 3073, 11km North of downtown Melbourne. All games will now be played at iceHQ on our NHL size rink.
Transportation is not included as part of the tournament, teams will be required to arrange their our transport to and from the games. Please be aware of Australia’s driving laws
GAMES
Games will follow IIHF rules. Each team will be guaranteed 4 games consisting of 3 stop time periods (12, 12, 15 minutes) plus the opportunity to advance to the playoffs.
A mercy rule will be in effect in which the game will go to running time if there is a five (5) or more goal spread with 10 minutes remaining in regulation time. There will be no reverting back to stop time for the balance of the regulation game. A 2-person officiating crew will be in place for all tournament games. All games at iceHQ will be live streamed for free. Slapshots will only be allowed in the pro division, all other divisions slapshots will be called a minor penalty.
