Aussie Skate Term 2 2026

Whether you’re dreaming of becoming a figure skater, aiming to play ice hockey, or just want to feel more confident on the ice, Aussie Skate at iceHQ is the perfect place to start (or continue) your ice skating journey.

Aussie Skate is a nationally recognised program catering to ages 5 and up, including teens and adults. With levels from beginner Tots 1/Aussie 1 to Free Skate 4, there’s something for every skater, even those with prior experience. Best of all, when you enrol, we’ll group you by age and skill level, so you’ll be learning alongside others just like you.

LESSON FORMAT

Each Aussie Skate class runs for 30 minutes with an additional 30 minute individual practice time.

LESSON TIMES

When enrolling, you can request your preferred class time during the Early Bird period. We build our schedule around your preferences, so the earlier you enrol, the better we can accommodate your requests. Your final lesson time will be emailed the week before term begins. If we’re unable to meet your request, we’ll contact you directly.

LEVELS & ELEMENTS

Aussie Skate is a national curriculum, with each level building on core skills and techniques through specific elements. Check out our Skate School Levels to see where you or your child should start, and what exciting skills you'll be learning along the way! Children under the age of 8, start with Tots 1. Children over the age of 8, teens & adults all start at Aussie 1. Freeskate is advanced figure skating and requires the completion of Aussie 1-10.

WHATS INCLUDED?

  • 30-minute group lesson per week

  • 30-minute practice time per week

  • Free skate hire and protective gear (including helmets)

  • 2 free passes to use at any Public Session or Freestyle Session during the skate school term*

  • Free public session skating on the day of your lesson

ENROLMENT INFORMATION

Enrolments for Term 2 will open on Thursday 2nd of April, at 11am. The Early Bird Period will end on Monday 13th April at 10am. Final enrolment closure dates are listed below.

  • Term Dates: Monday 20 April - Monday 22nd June
    (No class Monday 8 June)
    Duration: 9 weeks

    EARLY BIRD SPECIAL
    $245 for the full 9-week term. Class time requests are available only during the Early Bird period and are subject to availability.
    Early Bird closes strictly Monday 13th April at 10am.

    After this time, fees return to $260 and class time requests will close.
    Class time requests are only accepted during the Early Bird period and are subject to availability.

    Class Time: 30 minute classes run between 5pm - 7pm

    Levels Available: Tots 1 to 3 (Ages 5-7), Aussie Skate 1 to 10 (Ages 8+), Freeskate 1 to 4

    ENROLMENT CUT-OFFS

    • Enrolments temporarily close 10am Monday 20 April (prior to Week 1)

    • Final enrolments close 10am Monday 27 April (Week 2)

  • Term Dates: Wednesday 22nd of April - Wednesday 24th of June

    Duration: 10 weeks

    EARLY BIRD SPECIAL
    $270 for the full 10-week term. Class time requests are available only during the Early Bird period and are subject to availability.
    Early Bird closes strictly Monday 13th April at 10am.

    After this time, fees return to $285 and class time requests will close.
    Class time requests are only accepted during the Early Bird period and are subject to availability.

    Class Time: 30 minute classes run between 5pm - 6:30pm

    Levels Available: Tots 1 to 3 (Ages 5-7), Aussie Skate 1 to 10 (Ages 8+), Freeskate 1 to 3

    ENROLMENT CUT-OFFS

    • Enrolments temporarily close 10am Wednesday 22 April (prior to Week 1)

    • Final enrolments close 10am Wednesday 29 April (Week 2)

  • Term Dates: Saturday 2nd of May - Saturday 27th of June
    (No class Saturday 25th April)
    Duration: 9 weeks

    EARLY BIRD SPECIAL
    $245 for the full 9-week term. Class time requests are available only during the Early Bird period and are subject to availability.
    Early Bird closes strictly Monday 13th April at 10am.

    After this time, fees return to $260 and class time requests will close.

    Class Times & Levels Available:

    • Tots 1 to 3 (Ages 5-7) 30 minute class allocated between 10am - 11:30am

    • Aussie Skate 1 to 10 (Ages 8+) 30 minute class allocated between 10am - 11:30am

    • Free Skate 1 - 4 Class 9:30am - 10am

    ENROLMENT CUT-OFFS

    • Enrolments temporarily close 2pm Friday 1st May (prior to Week 1)

    • Final enrolments close 2pm Friday 8th May (Week 2)

Enrolments are closed for Term 1, 2026. Please complete the Expression of Interest form for Term 2 to be notified of Intro to Skating & Skate School enrolments opening.

Ice skating Australia Insurance

 
 

All participants enrolled in iceHQ’s Aussie Skate Program must register with Ice Skating Australia.
Registration provides insurance coverage for participants of the program.

2026 registration is $40 for the first year and $30 renewal each following year while the skater is involved in the program.
