Are you ready to up your goaltending game? Weโ€™ve put together a rotation of Melbourneโ€™s best goalie coaches; Michael James, Bryan MacKenzie, Sebastian Woodlands, Damian Holland, Jeremy Muir, Kayla Best and Greg Davis for a 6 week intensive program. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced goalie, our program covers it all! Goalies of all ages are welcome. Drop in sessions will NOT be available, as the learning process is continuous and builds progressively each session.

COACHES

Michael James
A familiar face in Australian hockey, Michael represented Australiaโ€™s U20 team then played in Canadaโ€™s junior GMHL league as well as numerous years with both the Melbourne Mustangs and Melbourne Ice in the AIHL. He was the goalie coach for the AWIHL Melbourne Ice team from 2016-2020 and has in-depth experience coaching in both IHV and iceHQ goalie programs.

Bryan MacKenzie
Originally from Canada, Bryan played AAA junior hockey before migrating to Australia. He has played for both Melbourne Ice and the Melbourne Mustangs in the AIHL and is the goalie coach for the AWIHL Melbourne Ice team and the IceHQ weekday goalie classes. Bryanโ€™s a familiar voice for many AIHL fans as a regular guest commentator for the league and has extensive knowledge of the game.

Sebastian Woodlands
Current goalie for the Melbourne Mustangs and previously with Adelaide Adrenaline in the AIHL, Seb has previously represented Australia in both their U20 and senior teams and played overseas in the PSHF and the USPHL premier league. Seb has thorough experience as a goalie coach in several domestic programs.

Damian Holland
Damian needs no introduction as a goalie and coach. Heโ€™s represented Australia numerous times and was the first Australian to receive a full NCAA scholarship at the University of Illinois, Chicago. He was the previous goalie coach for the Melbourne Mustangs (AIHL), the Melbourne Ducks (PHL) and has coached for several years at iceHQ. 

Jeremy Muir
Jeremy has represented Australia in their U20 team and was a goalie with Melbourne Ice in the AIHL. Jeremy has a huge passion for coaching hockey and was the previous assistant coach for the Melbourne Ducks (PHL) and is the current senior coach for the Melbourne Ducks prospective AWIHL team.

Kayla Best
Hailing from Ontario, Canada, Kayla has established herself as an elite goalie since moving to Australia. Kayla's an AWIHL champion with the Melbourne Ice and is the goalie coach for the U18 women's national team. Prior to this, Kayla was the goalie coach for the Dockland Ice Wolves and has a keen interest in developing goalies at both the beginner and elite level. 

Greg Davis
Greg has previously been a goalie for Melbourne Ice and Perth Thunder in the AIHL and has a keen interest in goalie coaching and development. Heโ€™s been the goalie coach for the Dockland Ice Wolves, IHV Melbourne Sharks, and is the current goalie coach for the AWIHL Melbourne Ducks.
