The Pro Winter League is returning to iceHQ for 2024
A league for the best female hockey players in the state and featuring some of the best female players in the country.

The first and only ice hockey league in Australia that is free for female players. There will be no season fees, jerseys will be supplied and insurance will be covered by iceHQ.

The Dogs, Inferno and Snipers will play in an expanded season of 12 rounds starting on the 24th of May. Games will be played predominantly on Friday nights with occasional Saturday afternoon games. Visit https://icehq.hockeysyte.com/season/142 for the full Pro Winter League season schedule.

Captains Rylie Ellis (Dogs), Georgia Carson (Inferno) and Georgia Moore (Snipers) will return, each protecting 6 players from last years roster.

All prospective players are required to join the draft.
Minimum age for the league, will be 14 years. Draft deadline 2nd of May.

A draft skate will take place on the 3rd of May at 6:25pm (not mandatory but may increase your chances of being drafted.)

The draft takes place live in the iceHQ bar on May 10th at 7pm.

23/24 SCHEDULE AND STANDINGS

Pro League is returning for Summer 23/24 with a new look!

This season will see three teams compete for the Pro League trophy; Inferno, Dogs and Snipers. Aligning with the Women’s teams in the Winter season.

Friday nights will now have one game, at 7:30pm, each team will have a bye every third week. Season starts December 1st, playing three rounds before the Christmas break.

Resuming 6th of January 5pm for Round 4 (One off Saturday game).
Then back to Friday nights 12th January-1st of March 2024 for the regular season.
Grand Final 7:30pm Friday 8th March 2024

Each team may protect up to 10 skaters plus one goalie or 11 skaters. All other players will be required to re-enter the draft at www.icehq.com.au/pro to be eligible for selection.

Minimum age is 16

With the reduced number of teams, roster spots will now be extra competitive, with only the absolute best of the best players making it into the Pro League.

Each team will start the season with a roster of 17 skaters + 2 goalies. After round 3 teams can add up to 3 skaters in the Mid Season Draft for a total roster of 20 skaters.

Introducing the PWL, Pro League at iceHQ will now run a winter season. A league for the best female hockey players in the state and featuring some of the best female players in the country.

This will be the first time in Australian history that female players have not had to pay to play ice hockey.

Three teams will compete in a 9 week season starting on the 2nd of June 2023, finishing with a best of three grand final series. Games will be played on Friday nights, with the same excitement and energy you’ve come to expect from our Pro League Fridays at iceHQ.

Our captains will be Rylie Ellis (Dogs), Georgia Carson (Inferno) and Georgia Moore (Snipers). All of whom have represented Australian on an international level.
