JUNIOR SUMMER LEAGUE ICE HOCKEY 2023/2024

Junior Summer League is back, bigger and better than ever!!

Want to enjoy Summer but still play hockey? iceHQ has created a season where we can do both!! Incorporating bye rounds, with a mid season break over school holidays, we are ensuring families are enjoying time in the sun over summer while getting to play great hockey!

Looking to top our BIGGEST season in 2022/2023, iceHQ is welcoming back the Dogs, Snipers, Bruins & Inferno, alongside our expert coaches Michael McMahon, Jamie Bourke, Troy Robertson, Rae Khalil, Jeremy Muir, & more!!!

iceHQ coaches are dedicated to growing ice hockey among our juniors and we’re proud to call iceHQ the home of junior summer hockey!

This season:

  • NEW high intensity trainings per division, including skating coach

  • BYE rounds & school holiday break for families to enjoy weekends over summer

  • Exciting finals series created by our JSL coaches

  • Mixed teams - All divisions

  • Carefully selected teams to evenly distribute skill levels

  • Payment options for families

  • All Goalies play for free in the JSL (please email hockeyprograms@icehq.com.au to register as a goalie)

  • Insurance included in game fess

AGE DIVISIONS

Junior A - Full checking

  • Designed for ages 15, 16, 17 + skill ready 14 year olds
    This division will house all 17U IHV players + any Defris / Tange players

  • New this season - Full ice, Junior A only training Term 1 2024 (Term 4 2023 remains half ice)

  • Rotating Game Schedule - Sundays mornings or afternoons

  • 12 regular season rounds, 2 bye weeks (5th November & 26th November) & minimum 2 x guaranteed finals games

  • Season starts 15th October
    *Players are eligible to play until the day they turn 18

Junior B - Modified checking

  • Designed for ages 11, 12, 13 + skill suited 14 year olds 
    * Defris and Tange players are ineligible for this division

  • New this season - Full ice, Junior B only training – Thursday nights 7:10pm - 8:10pm

  • Rotating Game Schedule - Sundays mornings or afternoons

  • 12 regular season rounds, 2 bye weeks (5th November & 26th November) + minimum 2 x guaranteed finals games

  • Season starts 15th October

Junior C - Non checking

  • New this season - Full Ice Games

  • New this season - Full ice, Junior C only training – Thursday nights 6pm- 7pm

  • Designed for ages 10 and under with prior hockey experience

  • Rotating Game Schedule – Sunday mornings

  • 10 games over 15 rounds + 1 x guaranteed finals game

  • Season starts 8th October

    * Note: All Junior C players must have full set of own gear

Junior Summer League Training will be held on Wednesday & Thursday nights by our expert coaches Michael McMahon, Troy Robertson, Jamie Bourke, Jeremy Muir and more!

  • Junior A - Wednesday 31st January - Wednesday 27th March (7:25pm - 8:25pm) - Full Ice Training

  • Junior B - Thursday 1st February - Thursday 28th March (7:10pm - 8:10pm) - Full Ice Training

  • Junior C - Thursday 1st February - Thursday 28th March (6:00pm - 7:00pm) - Full Ice Training
