The Next Gen Showcase is coming back to iceHQ in 2026!
📆 11th - 15th April 2026
🏒 Next Gen Showcase, Australia’s newest and biggest youth hockey tournament, held at iceHQ in Melbourne! 🏒 Now with an added 17U division!
Get ready for an electrifying week of hockey as the Next Gen Showcase takes over iceHQ. Mark your calendars and rally your teams for a tournament designed to celebrate the best of Australian junior hockey.
🎉 Tournament Details:
4 Divisions: That’s right, we’re adding a 17U division in 2026!
11U - Born 2015 or later (non checking)
13U - 2013 & 2014 (top age) (modified checking)
15U - 2011 & 2012 (top age) (modified checking)
17U - 2009, 2010 (top age - Must be 17 or younger during the tournament) (full checking)
Minimum 5 games per team + finals
Warm Up: 1 minute (quick skate, no pucks)
Game Time: 2 x 18-minute halves
1 minute between periods

💸 Team Registration Costs:
$2500 per team
Team deposit of $500 required by 16th of January 2026
*Limited number of teams accepted per division.

FAQ
Can international teams enter? Yes we would love to have you join!
Is IHA / IHV registration or insurance required? No, the entirety of the cost is the tournament fee, which includes iceHQ’s insurance, no other registrations or memberships are required.
How do I enter my player as an individual without a team? Tournament registration is by team, not as individuals. We are accepting EOI from teams and clubs. If teams are looking for extra players please email hockeyprograms@icehq.com.au. We encourage you to start the conversation with your local team/club to enter a team.
Can female or non binary players join? Yes all divisions are mixed gender.
